Kia ora, I’m Renee Waiwiri
I’m a UX/UI designer with over four years of experience designing inclusive, intuitive products that serve diverse communities. I began my career at an Indigenous design agency in Aotearoa New Zealand, where I grew from an intern to an intermediate designer — working on everything from grassroots community projects to high-impact government platforms.
My strength lies in designing with empathy — shaping digital solutions that honour user backgrounds, impr access, and reflect the people they’re made for. I bring deep knowledge of accessibility standards, bicultural design, and collaborative design processes that put people first. My work spans product strategy, UI systems, research synthesis, design leadership, and inclusive storytelling.
Now based in Melbourne, I’m focused on product design roles that value inclusive design, systems thinking, and real-world impact. Whether I’m building prototypes, guiding tone of voice, or working with developers to polish the final details — I care deeply about delivering elegant, usable, and empowering experiences.
